Andre Lipkins is a Nationally Certified, Affiliate Sex Offender Treatment Provider, and Licensed Professional Counselor.
Andre is an Ohio native and has lived in several places due to his father’s military tours. His enjoyment of people, young and old, and capitalizing on his past experiences is a major factor in his former success as a school teacher and effectiveness as a counselor.
Andre Lipkins is an alumnus of Kent State University and Prairie View A&M University. Andre began his career in education as an Elementary School teacher at a Christian Charter School in Houston, Texas. He then moved on to teach in the public school system with the Alief Independent School District at Betty Best Elementary. Prior to leaving Alief ISD, he taught a 4th grade male cadet class which was designed to combine academics with a rigid character development program. He has also taught at local charter schools.
Prior to earning his Master’s of Arts Degree in Counseling, Andre worked as a Counselor Intern providing individual, family and group counseling services to youth placed in residential treatment centers. Working with these youth, their placement agencies (Children’s Protective Services, Juvenile Probation, and Texas Youth Commission), and families has become his passion. He has since become a Licensed Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor. He enjoys contributing to the success of these youth by offering them the counseling, guidance, and nurturing they need to heal their emotional wounds and develop the confidence to succeed in life.
He has taken on leadership roles in the various Residential Treatment Centers during his career as a mental health professional. Andre continues to impact and inspire those around him by providing ongoing training to the direct care staff, assisting in their professional development.
Andre is currently working at the Embracing Destiny Foundation Residential Treatment Center in Spring, Texas as Treatment Director, in addition to providing counseling services to children and adolescents in residential and foster placement. In addition he has been the “master of developing and facilitating” professional development trainings for many local Residential Treatment Centers.
